I have a few online friends and fans that love my work as fashion editor, some of them via Facebook some others via Twitter, all of them pretty much know what I like and

my taste and choices when it comes about fashion.

Since recently my latest obsession is Gianni Versace's work, which I've been tweeting , facebooking and writing about night & day, it seems like most of my followers already know what to

expect from my fashion taste in the upcoming months ....

Well, one of them is a dear fan and friend via Facebook, who actually pretty much knows my fashion taste and my sensibility for art work, this afternoon I felt so flattered when one of the S A N T O S fans drew a look from the Versace Uomo s/s 2012 runway, send it to me, and told me she was thinking on me while drawing the sketch, I would like to thank Adri Manzano for drawing this specially for me.

It's really nice when you have connection with people that have same sensibility for art , fashion

and share same taste, regardless of my fashion work as writer, it's not easy to receive that kind of attention everyday ...

So flattered thanks Adri !!!

Twitter has become the barometer of publicity and advertising for many companies, restaurants and God knows for what else ...

But off course fashion is one of them, I always tweet my work via Metrovelvet, which it has gave me a wonderful chance to put my words about fashion out there to the audience.

My purpose as US fashion editor of Metrovelvet, is to give the website a high fashion twist,

I always include presentations, expositions, runway shows and everything related to the latest news in fashion, however, as I'm in charge and based in the U.S, I can't sadly cover events outside the country, but in Metrovelvet we have an editor in Canada and in companion with our photographer, Michael Ching they assisted to an exclusive Jean Paul Gaultier exposition, in which Jean Paul Gaultier in person gave a press conference and explained all his work and purpose of the exhibition, which frames the retrospective work from the designer and shows the most memorable avant-garde pieces from almost all his famous couture collections.

So, a few days ago, we found out that Jean Paul Gaultier twitter account, tweet at us and also took one the main pictures from our exclusive coverage and put it in their
twitpic account, how cool and amazing is that ?....

I would like to highlight that Metrovlevet group feel's so happy
and flattered that J.P.G account tweeted at us.

In the other hand, with all the womenswear resort 2012 collection, I received pictures from Stella McCartney resort 2012 , which I wrote a review about .
That afternoon I started tweeting my work via Metrovelvet, and minutes later, Stella McCartney's twitter account re-tweeted my tweet....
Maybe some people will consider it stupid, but I feel those are my first footprints in the world of fashion

Versace Uomo spring summer 2012

Donatella Versace took the right direction this time for Versace Uomo s/s 2012, she's going back to the routes of the label , in which she's taking the most memorable styles, concepts, silhouettes and famous baroque prints that his brother Gianni made so famous back in the 70's and 80's.

Loving Givenchy resort 2012, Ricardo Tisci is just taking the world of fashion upside down with his unexpected yet fantastic ideas, although I feel recently that his the new Gianni Versace, and not because of the baroque prints, but his cutting edge innovating concepts, and aesthetic that sort of departures from remote ideas,

even though sometimes they're dark or Gothic they always have a sexy appeal attach to them .

Ricardo's work is absolutely synonym of perfection, and demonstrates that you don't have to make sense

( in terms of ideas) but you can always combine, and make them look cohesively perfect.

I'm so happy a few days ago I got access to download Ana Locking pictures from her fall/winter 2011 collection, I love the concept that she has opted for this upcoming season, she went for a more minimal, bold yet powerful statement, that she considers "a mix of opposites" , yet she play with many intriguing ideas and hide subjects of social cultural life, that is just amazingly, well conducted.

Current Obsession : Our Lord & Saviour bags

The Olympus Teneo clutch from Our Lord & Saviour is in my current obsession list, this amazing crocodile -clutch with a silver crucifix is designed by the amazing Jason Salstein .

I've seen a couple of people already with this majestic piece including Madonna & Kate Lamphear,

and I'm considering this bag as a must have when going to New York fashion week in September,

it will perfectly represent my dark side, will it be consider "Blasphemous" to wear this piece?

I will not care, this bag stole my entire soul, in fact I will consider it my religious charm .

I have to apologize to all my followers for not being updating my S A N T O S fashion blog , but all this has a wonderful excuse; I was named Fashion Editor U.S for the website http://www.metrovelvet.com/,

which is the most exiting thing that could have ever happen to me !.
I've been having the chance to cover fashion shows, including Mercedes Benz New York fashion week as well as Miami fashion week , but most important fact has been meeting all the important people in the industry, from fashion editors to designers, this position has lead myself to have access to the most important events and presentations. The great news are that from today on, I will continually start linking my work for Metrovelvet with "S A N T O S fashion" , I'll be giving you the scoop from backstage access-behind the scenes of what happens in New York fashion week and all details related to my work as Fashion Editor, I'm so excited to be part of the Metrovelvet group, it is a great experience and opportunity to represent them , I feel blessed to be working with such an amazing group of people.

In memory of Alexander Lee Mcqueen (March 17-1969 to February 11-2010)

In memory to the man that with his mind and hands change upside down the world of fashion...

today it's a year from his death and many fans as me today, would like for everyone to remember him as a truly artist , as a man that always stayed truth to his aesthetic , that also never doubt his own talent and love for art , a man who's passion and creativity was infinite .

And with not doubt all his work lead him to be considered now on days as the true art work of a visionary ,

there will not be other like him , with the same ideas taste or mind but he left us his legacy a printed name with so many moments that will never be erased from history .

That said , he will be always considered as "The genius of a Generation "

R.I.P Alexander Lee McQueen .

Last night the huge trend at the Screen Actors Guild awards we're the belted gowns and bright and bold colors as well as some graphics .

But as we know not everyone gets to be on the best dressed list and there's always more worst than best , but last night there was an exception , seems like the girls are taking seriously their style on the red carpet ....

Hailee Steinfeld in Prada s/s 2011 :

She just looked so young- fresh - cool - hip - edgy without trying to hard very simple yet elegant and effortless grwat styling and great choice for this girl , also we're impressed because this is a difficult dress to wear not everyone would look good on it , but she just looked AMAZING top# 1 best dressed of the night !

Mila Kunis in Alexander McQueen resort 2011 :

Amazing !!! she just walked fresh -elegant -sexy in that dress, I love her in this dress this time she was the spot to look on the red carpet , definitely a great choice , she was on trend with belt that accentuate her hips and the softness of the dress was just flabbergasting !

She looked amazing !! she always knows what looks really good on her ...

Kyra Sedgwick in Vintage Thierry Mugler :

Edgy ,chic ,elegant I don't know what other word would fit to describe it , lately she's been wearing super glam -edgy -gowns on the red carpets and Im loving it . Whoever decide to put her on that dress is a good stylist cause not every stylist can think of this type of vintage for red carpets , loving all the look head to toe kuddos for her !

Sofia Vergara in Roberto Cavalli :

Flawless as always Sofia always does it the right way without being to loud or to sexy this dress was perfect for her amazing body and the color was a great departure from all that orange- red she's been wearing lately on the last red carpets , my only tip is that we want to see her doing something little bit different .... she should start playing with her hair for the next time , but other than that she looked vavavoom !

Claire Danes in Louis Vuitton :

Elegant and delicate, I think she looked very soft young in this gown , well she always knows what works best for her style and always doing what's on trend , good styling also the hair and make up perfect , my only concern was the LV zipper at the side of the dress , the little tassel with gold zip was a little bit distracting . But in other words she just looked stunning.

January Jones in Carolina Herrera pre-fall 2011 :

Sassy, gorgeous ,classy January J. brings always the edge on the red carpets, Im so happy she jumped from Versace to something from Carolina Herrera and she did it the right way .The styling was perfect the hair and make up was stunning simple and without going that far from the concept of the dress.

Gurlll wearing pre-fall already ?? thats what i called power in the fashion industry

Tina Fey in Oscar de la Renta pre-fall 2011:

She definitely had a 360 degree change sure shes taking tips from other stylist , this time she nail it even with the styling, this dress had a one shoulder wrap on the runway, not sure if it was part of it but what we know is that she looks amazing in this gown !

Juliana Margulies in YSL :

Classy & elegant love she didn't try to hard the hair slicked to the back and gorgeous diamond earrings complete this elegant sophisticated look .

Lea Michele in Oscar de la Renta s/s 2011 :

good departure for her this is something in which we love to see her soft and not heavy or stiff , she finally walked easily and look sexy as always but this time young & elegant and off course doing her best in ODLR.

Julia Styles in Monique Lhuillier pre-fall 2010 :

I featured this trend for s/s 2011" faded colors " , this dress is very interesting cause its midnight blue fading into white , I think she looked fresh soft yet elegant and I love she didn't went to far with the styling instead she keep it simple but she looked gorgeous on it ...

Helena Bonham Carter in Marc Jacobs :

Love love love this! , Im starting to loving her style ...she likes different things and i think its really nice to see something different on the red carpets , as we know last time she was wearing to different color shoes and a gown by Vivienne Westwood i was not sure about it, but i start learning more for her style and it's really cool -edgy and fashionable , can't wait to see more of her style also Im pretty sure fashionistas are looking forward to see whats the next thing she'll be wearing

Ugh..... look at her face expression she thinks she looks priceless & amazing , YES you looked AMAZING but amazingly ridiculously bad in this dress.... Gurl trying to steal the spot of Natalie Portman its a HUGE MISTAKE !

Sadly this amazing Monique Lhuillier dress didn't work in this occasion its to over the top

gurl did you look at the mirror before steeping on the red carpet ? apparently no ...to many things going on in that dress , also it was to tight for her ... Her face says people be careful Im gonna explode !!!

sadly this creation by Herve Leger it's not the best choice for her body and also style , the color is nude and it doesn't look good on her she could have wore some bright bold color and she would've look way much better !

"BRIDEZILLA" by Winona Ryder

last night there was desperately bride walking on the SAGawards red carpet she needs a husband A.S.A.P whoever wants to date her please contact the police department city of Los Angeles , they're helping her to find the perfect match ...

I mean absolutely ridiculous , whats going on with her? she's coming back and she comes back with this ???

and her face... is she scared ? I mean did she stole something again ?

ugh so sad that this dress by Alberta Ferretti almost bride gown it's not the right choice for a red carpet.

"Ready for a date night with Charlie sheen " by Christina Hendricks

What the heck is she wearing ? a shiny bath robe ? what is she wearing under? ugh don't know what to say but gossips around said she had a date with Charlie Sheen after the awards .. well reasonable choice for that type of occasion ..

sadly she so gorgeous and vavavoon but this dressed its not right for her it makes her look small and covers the wrong parts and shows the wrong ones to .

This is an example of how the amazing dress can be the wrong option for a gorgeous women , this amazing beaded gown by L'Wren Scott was not the right choice , she's not that skinny or tall to make a statement with this gorgeous gown .

"Welcome to the future in aluminum foil " by Melissa Leo

Bad tailoring, bad color, bad hair, definitely the wrong dress for this amazing woman, whoever picked this dressed for her destroy her last night wrong option !, this type of shiny fabrics are not a really good choice to wear for red carpets and also this shiny mesh metallic fabrics photograph really bad , this type of dresses are not for everyone besides the silver is a little bit old and she looked out of fashion .

sadly this dress by Randi Rham does not makes her look her best ...

" ~~INFERNO~~ AT LA HUERTA "by Paz de la Huerta

Trying to hard to be edgy ??? everything here does not go well together from that Gothic-tribal lipstick color to the hair .... maybe she could of look better with different hair and make up , the dress is not bad but the styling destroyed , although she's at least trying to dress up better ,Paz does not have the best fashion timeline in terms of red carpets ...

"Who am I ?? " by who is she ?

Perhaps I can't remember her name it's very obvious she made a HUGE mistake wearing this nonsense blossom ,.... Gurl we know blossom is a s/s 2011 trend but this one is to far from edgy or ~~high fashion,~~

" how to re-use your QUINCEA~ERA dress " by Jane Lynch

To stiff fabric for that pastel color , sadly its not a dress for this women it makes her look like she was a princess character of a Disneyland movie

such a risky design when you choose stiff fabrics with pastel color you can easily look to quincea~era

perhaps it was to much fabric for her ... something slicked to her body would've make her look better .

what happend to the smoking sexy effortlessly elegant Kidman we used to love ? this has to stop soon!!! , she used to be a superstar fashion icon but recently shes destroying herself with this options , again the perfect example of gorgeous dress gorgeous women bad choice ...

it was not good for her there was to much going on specially because of the bad styling! that necklace and that ~~bad~~ hair just not go with the dress, I wished she would've done something different and more glamorous as she used to be

What happened to her ? she looks bad here, the dress is showing the wrong part of her body and does not look great from every angle , although i love that she kept the make up less heavy and softer but she looked little bit old last night , third example of amazing dress wrong option , even though she kept it with simple accessories and soft make up it was not a great choice ...

we are loving the Marchesa dress but we are not sure it was the right option for this vavavoom gurl..

" ~~PRETTY~~ in pink " by Jennifer Lawrence

A perfect example of how to destroy an amazing dress with bad tailoring .. im sure Oscar de la Renta is not happy with whoever decide to transform the amazing dress into a red carpet nightmare , this dress had only one shoulder cover and the other shoulder strap was off , but whoever decide to put more straps to it destroyed the dress and also destroyed her, and ugh that hideous belt with the stupid bow NO NO NO

instead of pretty in pink she look more like desperate in pink ..

The shoes we're also to heavy for this dress .. our best advice for this gorgeous girl is

FIND ANOTHER STYLIST ..

"Wanna have a date ? " by Eva Longoria

Speechless and in bad way .. what its going on with Eva this dress it's not right for her, although she didn't look that bad but seems like she's trying to hard to call for attention , you're beautiful don't need to show that much skin to cause shock in the red carpet .

sadly this amazing gown by Georges Hobeika Couture spring 2011 was not the right dress for her ...

" I wanna be part of MAD MEN cast " by Julie Bowen

We're not sure is this pantsuit is a perfect look for this type of awards, although she didn't look that bad she just try something different but does not look as elegant as she could of looked also maybe if she sould've wore more shocking jewelry it would've looked way better.

This is the new eccentrism of fashion the "graphic minimalistic boldness" that's how i describe it, more than 10 designers had it in their collections , they play with it in different colors materials and textures ,I consider it very easy to wear fresh -cool yet edgy and modern its like materials,fabrics and colors will speak by it self, as all the other fashionistas I'm considering to buy some bold colorful jackets as well as other pieces ,and remember you don't have to wear all white to be minimal also remember not to use neon is bold bright primary colors and even lighter and acid ones and don't forget to get rid off all the embellishments for this upcoming fall 2011 ....

As a fashion director at Vogue Nippon her style can't be compared to anything shes just amazing , the way she builds her looks its something I've never seen before her amazing sense of high fashion makes her a total fashion icon besides her sweet amazing personality makes her a complete fabulous glamazon creature on earth !!!

I hope this next year Anna continues doing her wonderful job as an editor and also can't wait to see what shes gonna be wearing during next season ........ Interview with amazing Jewelry designer Rodrigo Otazu ....

Two nights ago i had the pleasure to have an exclusive interview with jewelry designer Rodrigo Otazu, his jewelry is very know around the world and also worn by many celebrities like Kelis ,kiley Minogue,Lady Gaga,Beyonce,Janelle Monae,Daphne Guinness there's a lot more and the list keeps on going ,also his wonderful exquisite job was shown in the movie "Sex and the City 2" and Kelis music video "Acapella"......... And with no doubt that his work is a piece of art, many top designers have choose him for make collaborations, on his list we can find : Christian Lacroix, Jean Paul Gaultier and the beloved designer & artist Alexander McQueen (R.I.P) ; and off course much more......
Many people already know I'am a huge fan of his amazing work,so i hope you guys enjoy this interview as much as i did ...Thanks Rodrigo for giving us a little time of your amazing life ...

1- Hi Rodrigo how are you ? im so glad you accept this intervew ...

Rodrigo: good ,thank you for asking !! I am glad you will like to interview me...

2- how is a day in the life of Rodrigo Otazu ?

Rodrigo: Crazy ! were shall i start ? gym ...run... and then helthy brekfast to set the day in a
good note....and also deep my self into a 1000's of e-mails.

Jhon : sounds great! thats a good way to start a day...

3- where are you from?? I've read articles online about your biography and they say you born in
Argentina .. is that true ?

Rodrigo: yes correct,I am from Argentina...very latin man over here, I think this has give me
that "azucar" in my life to make it very spicy,and also make my work very
interesting...

Jhon : oh yeah off course.... you have that "azucar" I totally agree with that....

4- A what age did you felt that your passion was to design high ended fashion jewelry ???

Rodrigo: I think i was brorn with that ,I was really interested in Vogue when I was 9
or 10and I used to spend hours and hours in the magazine shop looking at all the
magazines because my father would never give me any money to spend it in fashion...
so i find my own way to it

5- two words to describe your work??

Rodrigo: 2 words? .... fucking Amazing !.... or shall i be more chic and say one of the
kind?..or is that is 4?

Jhon : 4 is fine.... whatever you feel to express yourself about it is good !!

6- Whats fashion for you??

Rodrigo: Fashion for me is to be Original,fashion is personality is also to have that feeling
for something that is special with out wanting to be one...

Jhon : Totally agree with you , I feel the same way....Is away to express yourself.

7- what inspires your amazing creations ??

Rodrigo: Gaga...,LOL ...well... life does

Jhon : lol she's my religion haha

Rodrigo : Yes Gaga rocks!!...i am very much looking out for all those details that people in the
fast life forget to look into it

Jhon : Loving both answers!!!
well yes as a fan of your work, and also for one my passion which is design accessories
I also feel that's a great source of ideas, "Little details that people should not
forget in life"...

Rodrigo : You desing as well ?....wow ! talented man

Jhon : yes I hope to become a designer like you one of these days.. if God and life wants
me... its a HUGE DREAM!

8- Have you ever consider to make a collaboration with another top designer ???

Rodrigo: SURE!

9- Which ones have you work with ???

Rodrigo: I did colaborations with Christian Lacroix,I teach Victor&Rolf to make a necklace in
the first years...,Jean Paul GauLtier and last but not the least Alexander McQueen...

Jhon : Wow hands down ...my idol !

10- By the way i have here my 944 magazine sept /2010 congratulations I'm totally obsessed with
your job ... but my real question is what you feel when you see your work in magazines
like Vogue , Elle and some other top magazines around the world?

Rodrigo: I feel proud ..off course very proud .. but my life and my work does not define by
been in Vogue or Elle is by the woman who buy my stuff and wear it on the street..
who i pay tribute to..

11- Do you have any muse ???

Rodrigo : my muse ?..my mother LOL ... poor mother I destroy her closet when i was young..all
those pearls and strass all over lol was fun .. still fun !

Jhon : ahahaha that's normal in the growing process of a designer lol.. A normal symptom...

Rodrigo : I guess so...

12- Do you consider the word Avant-Garde a great term to describe some of your creations ???

Rodrigo: I dont like to take my self to seriously ... Avantgarde can put you in a box...I
think out of the box

13- Which is your favorite material to work with ???

Rodrigo: Well .... I love it all from plastic to fantastic!!!as long it help me to express
my feelings and I have a client who want to pay for it... I go for it.

14- Any favorite designers ???

Rodrigo: Karl - Galliano - Mr Mc Queen -Mugler - Me me me

15- top five people that you consider fashion icons???

Rodrigo: Marlena D - Greta Garbo - Elizabeth Taylor - Carolina de Monaco - Sophia Loren -
Catherine Denueve....the list is long..I love clasic beauty in my photography work I
go very much for timeless look and play with modern look at the same time..

16- Im amaze of how you make a balance between creating something timeless ,classy , elegant
and modern and then jumping to very modern without loosing your aesthetic??

Rodrigo: I think is very important to be yourself...

17- How you manage your ideas staying truth to your aesthetic ? that will be the question

Rodrigo: Don't copy,be original ,fuck the rest of the world, follow your dreams.. The rest
will follow...

18- Which are going to be your next plans in the fashion???..indsutry any hints???....

Rodrigo: Well i need to go early to bed to have a early start .... Sleeping is not my best
part ...I sleep very little ... I'am interested on many things and i have so many
plans that we could talk for ever and ever about theM.... but again is better to see
them and do them that to talk about it.....

Jhon : You intrigue me a lot !!!

Rodrigo : LOL i am a nightmare!!( may be that is why I sleep very little )

Jhon : lol ahah true!

19- by the way im totally obsessed with Kelis video "Acapella" and off course with your
work , the pieces are amazingly stunning!!!

Rodrigo: thank you she have been my friend for 15 years now...is my first video with her..

20- have you ever consider to make a fashion video with the same vibe to show your fans your

I think that from all the collaborations that H&M has done with other designers this one is expected to be so far one of their best collections ... I really can't wait to see what Alber Elbaz has for the target of H&M I'm so intrigue to know what is going to be about ... so far the preview of the film shows the high fashion model Natasha Poly as the face of the video I'm also hoping that she does the add campaign to... in the other hand this collection will be available worldwide on November 23 except for U.S and Canada where the launch will be on November 20 in selected stores, also the full collection will be online on November 2, for more information and more videos you can go to http://www.hm.com .

Sarah Burton made such a breathtaking collection for the legacy of Alexander McQueen ,

i consider her work to be " The alive soul of Alexander Lee McQueen " and is because watching her work with the resort and the menswear s/s 2011 seems to me like shes doing an amazing job following the legacy and doing things like Alexander would do if he would be alive,but talking about this collection she embrace lots of things that McQueen did in the past, and she also transformed them into a new different idea that left everybody speechless,there's not gonna be another like McQueen but we've seen already how other designer houses are not the same and also suffer without the designer that established the label, but well in this case seems to be totally different because today at Paris Sarah Burton's first ready-to-wear was a complete success.

Her ideas where like McQueen's thoughts ,the dresses, the use of feathers to cover,the shapes, the shoes,the butterflies,the photoprints,the colors,the visual illusions,the materials,the avant-garde gowns everything was perfection as McQueen's visions ,loving the way she mixed new cutting edge things with embracing little details as well as the styling loving all the pieces so glad and happy that Sarah is doing a wonderfull job for McQueen's house...

Such a breathtaking collection totally in love with every single piece !!! love how Albert Elbaz keept some drama with the first dresses ,the movement of the fabrics was just chic,effortless

fresh,elegant however this was such a smart collection he had all the Lanvin woman in one show : the chic woman , the effortlessly woman , the sexy woman,the trendy woman & the edgy woman without forcing the looks ..I consider the show one of the best so far and also a "fresh wind of air " love also how he play with the harness for the dresses and add a jewelry piece on it ,the jewelry was exquisite love the bugs,the butterflies and the mix of the softness on the clothes mixed with the hardware creativity that went into the accessories makes it a perfect combination

the color palette was just perfect ,very soft at the beginning with earthy tones then jumping into dark turquoise and then going to bold bright colors like magenta, scarlet red ,lemon yellow,purple,golden yellow ,pink and finally he ends with olive's ,grey's,blacks, browns and also patterns .

Seems like Albert Elbaz had on mind every single detail to make such a perfect s/s collection from the fabrics & the sandals to the accessories everything had a fluent cohesive harmony

that is perfect for summer, love Albert his a genius!!!!!

Thinking on buying one of those bugs for my hand wrist ;) congratulations to Albert Elbaz for another amazing collection for Lanvin.

John Galliano left the pastel color pallet to gave us a joyful splash of color.... For Christian Dior s/s 2011 John based the collection on many ideas that conclude to one ,the inspiration was obvious....The masculine sailor was a strong feeling in the show some menswear jackets were part of the looks as well as the sailor hats and also which better interpretation of the masculine roughness of a sailor than having the models with a Betty Paige signature hairstyle which complete the whole entire idea plus the tropical Hawaiian vibe , it was such and amazing show i love how he start using color again,well... It was kind of expected all this splash of color since the amazing Dior couture fall 2010 show, but i think this time he play more with the tropical prints the colors and the embellishment on the dresses and off course lets include the amazing shoes and the playful cord accessories .

Also great detailing love the origami inspired Hawaiian necklaces as well as the feathered shoes in the other hand i consider this collection wearable and more fresh for summer than what I've seen from other previous shows for s/s 2011..

How to describe this avant-garde collection??? well only two words futuristic chic...

Manish Arora is one of those few designers that are very focus on his own aesthetic his cutting-edge designs are not only futuristic but a piece of art every single piece has shocking playfull couture details.

Manish Arora is well known for his extravagant appliqués ,embellishments, patterns & the use of different kind of non conventional materials ,and this time he delight us with such an amazing show...love every single piece also great combination of trends he had everything in one collection from the safety orange to color blocking ,the oversize appliqués had a baroque feeling as well as the shoes also the shoulders were very prominent and off course we can't exclude the sequin suits at the end that had a picture view of a beach, kind of a post card image.
The color palette was perfect he used all the colors that follow the trend of s/s 2011 mint green, light blue, peach,yellow,scarlet red ,gold..... very smart.

Loving also the car headpieces to ..wondering if Gaga would like to wear one his pieces it would be amazing..... Get familiar with Manish ;)

I'm spechless.... while analyzing Rick Owens s/s 2011 i was in shock that for the first time he gave us color , yes he use dark greysh green ,well still dark but very smart because we already know that Rick is the king of darkness but in this collection he showed us something a lil bit different....More minimalistic and easy going pieces as well as architecture ones at the same time and withouth loosing his edge he gave us some vest jackets with high necks , the color palette was less dark than usual his black fabrics looked like they have been pass trough a wash process as well as the whites and grey 's , accessories were very tribal and shoes were more elegant and with an edge.. love this new change on his label im a huge fan of Rick Owens he always gave us something different and cutting edge ..

70's sexy,chic,boho thats how i describe Peter Dundas work for the house of Pucci ,the show was absolutely sexy the bohemian printed dresses were so beautiful,soft and yet sexy the models showed a lot of skin some of the dresses cover their arms but at the same time were short and paired with high tight lace up bohemian boots ,some of the fabrics were sheer to show some sexiness and the others were more soft , silk as well for some of the bohemian patterns...

The 70's looks were very casual,wedge pants,blazers,printed silk scarves used as turbans and the rounded almost clear aviators that gave the models the last touch of that 70's inspired i think it was very chic. The show was also dominated by gorgeous gowns from the printed long sleeved ones ( Pucci is well known for its long sleeved sexy open dresses )to the sexy ones in terracotta & ocean blue... Also i think the end of the show was perfect, well it actually was my favorite part ,the black gowns were just fabulous they had sparkling details and also some details were done in wool lace, love the bathing suits as well....

A clear point of view of Proenza Schouler s/s 2011 New York fashion week....

The leading edge designer couple Jack and Lazaro create for Proenza Schouler s/s 2011 a new vision,and as you may remember people think that the Proenza Schouler girl is a surfer, sometimes dark, sometimes very urban and with no doubt always edgy but, are those the perfect description's about the Proenza Schouler girl ???...or is this the philosophy of the Proenza Schouler ????

well answers for this .....none yet, but questions ?????? I do have many ......
For the next spring summer 2011 their interpretation of modern ladylike got me a little bit confused.... because i want to know if the mix of the different types of social woman are part of their philosophy... Or if this is the evolution of the Proenza Schouler girl???? .
well.. I decided to jump into a little fashion investigation.
First thing that we all know about Proenza Schouler is that this amazing couple of designers like to create lots of different fashion forward techniques when it comes to create their materials and fabrics for their own collections . Every single season they come up with a new cutting edge garment; and off course this upcoming season they introduce us to new materials like Russian bobbin lace in colors like: acid lemon yellow & other vibrant ones ,tweed and soft crocodile leather as well as other types of leather, the way they picked the colors for the used of this materials was very smart and off course we do have to mention the amazing little effortlessly details like buttons,lines,zippers,black sheer, pins,rings & accessories that make the pieces of the collection look exquisite but, while watching the collection with this whole new idea of "modern edge ladylike" I suddenly felt that they missed their essence as Proenza Schouler ...I was kind of feeling sad to see maturely inspired styles from this fashion forward designers,in the other hand I felt they play safe with the colors .... So here another question if they continue showing us the shocking combination of neon ,acid ,bright & dark opposite colors ,why i felt that their s/s 2011 is not Proenza at all???? is this done under the intention of the PS philosophy????......
I continue my investigation ....And which better way than looking into a flashback of all their collections, here a fast interpretation of their work in a timeline ...

Is not a risk, is part of their legacy and if we reviewed the past seasons,Jack and Lazaro always take reference to the different styles of effortlessly woman in this case their representation was classy and ladylike there's nothing luxe or fancy about it. They are not going outside the Proenza Schouler paths.

This review was mainly done to clear the view of some misunderstood fashionistas and other fashion lovers as well , that for a minute thought that Jack and Lazaro didn't fill up our expectations for s/s 2011.And remember just because we use to see the same related pattern doesn't mean they're doing something that is not related with their philosophy.

Words to describe it ??? BEYOND AMAZING house of Marchesa did an amazing job combining texture,details, couture,endings,colors,techniques and many more things.... Which look do u think I lOVE from Marchesa s/s 2011???? well... EVERY SINGLE PIECE!!! the way they create soft pieces as well as the architecture ones was groundbreaking and avant-garde the palette color was used correctly. The gowns that had overdone details in stones didn't looked to much because they used one solid color as well as the black ones with lace,everything looked luxurious, polished and opulent clockwise the show was dominated by clean cuts,clean tailoring, lots of details and couture work.... It was like fabulous avant-garde fashion forward dream came true...
congratulations to all the creative group and the atelier of Marchesa, I think many people feels the same way as me ... SPEECHLESS.
